On June 30, 1999 an extended meeting of the Editorial Management Board of the EJPAU was held in the Senate Hall of the Agricultural University in Lublin.

The participants of the meeting were: Prof. Jerzy Hortyński, Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Andrzej Kusz, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy at the Agricultural University of Lublin, members of the EJPAU Editorial Management Board, and chairmen and secretaries of the Editorial Boards.

The following items were placed on the agenda and approved: the activities of the EJPAU in 1998, distribution of financial support and funding among editorial boards in 1999, and standard forms of the papers submitted for publication. The three new series were proposed to be added to the journal, namely: Timber Engineering with the Editorial Board at the Agricultural University of Poznan, Geodesy and Cartography with the Editorial Board at the University of Agriculture and Technology in Olsztyn and Forestry - a preliminary series with the Editorial Board at the Agricultural University of Warsaw. The Editorial Board of the Horticulture series was transferred from the Agricultural University of Cracow to the Agricultural University of Lublin.

An informal reception for the participants of the meeting was given in a small castle owned by the host - Agricultural University of Lublin (see a picture above).

The next meeting was scheduled for November at the Higher School of Agriculture and Teachers' Training in Siedlce.
